Many BBQ places are off limits to gluten free folks due to the gluten contained in the sauce. However, the owners of Bubba's say that their "smokin' hot" sauce is GLUTEN FREE but the sweet sauce is NOT gluten free.I'm looking forward to checking this place out.

UPDATE: I tried this place over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. You can order the meat with sauce on or on the side, then they have a self-serve sauce station with the hot bbq sauce, the mild (not gluten free), tabasco, Louisiana hot sauce and ketchup. The sides were good too. Very reasonably priced, especially consider it is located in the main drag in La Jolla.
Be careful about eating the grilled meats. Grill has BBQ sauce on it. Anything smoked is fine. Pulled pork is excellent. Owners are very helpful.

No Msg , no gluten you can ask their salad without pita bread and all their salad dressings in house made and Gluten Free. ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a bakery, Starry lane Bakery in Santee is pretty good. They are, of course gluten free and specialize in Cookies.
