I tried Old Spaghetti Factory's GF pasta!

Sometimes you are just in the mood for pasta and there are very few gluten-free pasta options out there so I am glad that the Old Spaghetti Factory has a national gluten-free menu. I had the gluten-free pasta with the Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. It was really good and there was enough that I could take home half for another meal. Your meal comes with a side salad (kind of lame iceberg lettuce salad) and a scoop of ice cream for $10, which is good value these days. And the miracle is that the they DO NOT charge extra for gluten-free pasta! Where else have you seen that? To be honest, I wasn't that crazy about the Old Spaghetti Factory before I become gluten-free but now that they have a good selection of GF items, I will definitely be back.

  1. I went there right after I was diagnosed with celiac. After reading how gf friendly they were, I was surprised at the lack of options on their menu. It was good to have a gf pasta place, but I haven't been back since.

  2. I have been GF for 9 months now after having my symptoms got worse during pregnancy and it's been a tough adjustment but has gotten easier. Sure you can make stuff at home, but it is not the same as the dining out experience. I was so happy to find Spaghetti Factory has GF pasta- my fave too is the Mizithra. We went to the one in Newport all the time in college. I'm north of you in Temecula, and I just wanted to thank you for your posts...I am going to have to go back to Henry's for that cheesecake!!! Oh, and I love the sunflower flax bread from Johann's (based in Vista, sell in SD area Henry's http://www.johannsbakery.com/) I like them better than Udi's!!!

  4. There is a charge(per their online menu: (http://www.osf.com/pdf/gluten-free-menu.pdf)of .75 for GF pasta.

Not sure if online version is outdated or if it's changed since this blog post was created.
