Cafe Pasta Pronto in Del Mar offers several gluten free dishes and desserts every day. I went today for lunch and sat in their large outside patio. It is at the back of the restaurant away from the cars and traffic. I ordered the baked ziti for $9.99. It was a huge portion and came with fresh veggies on the side. It was delicious and tasted exactly like regular baked ziti - even my husband liked it, and he is not gluten free at all. There was also a quinoa salad and a quinoa risotto on the gluten free menu today. You could also add grilled shrimp or chicken to any entree for an additional charge. For dessert, I had the flourless belgian chocolate cake which was very rich and delicious. I would definitely go back here - the food and ambiance were excellent.http://pastaprontodelmar.com

I have been here twice now and both times the food was really good and the service was really lousy! They can't seem to refill drinks or come back to check on things. It's a toss up, do you go for the food and ignore the service? Maybe get food to go?
